Artist Statement   

Over ten years ago, Jennifer began making jewelry as a creative outlet for herself. Overwhelming demand soon had her making gifts and selling to her family and friends. She has never looked back. Today, Jennifer personally creates everything from full crystal & chainmail headpieces and jewelry, to beaded gowns and costumes.

It is often asked what influences her work. It is an eclectic mixture of her fascination with nature, music, and her avid imagination. These influences can clearly be seen in her creations, be it a crystal choker, or a brocade gown trimmed in freshwater pearls.

Jennifer has also been acting as an instructor for jewelry and chainmail construction at various conventions, shows, and private lessons. She enjoys teaching her crafts, which show through her patient and humorous manner as well as her personal attention to each individual student.

Jennifer views each new project as a work of devotion, and hopes that her enthusiasm and instruction continue to entertain, and inspire.

Short Artist Bio

Jennifer Anne Sycha Walters is a devoted chainmail, jewelry, and costume creator, often finding ways to incorporate all three into a design, and finding much of her inspiration in the color and force of nature. For over ten years, she has been designing and teaching at special events and private sessions, her patient and humorous manner making her a delightful instructor. Her one of a kind creations can be found at select shows as well as on consignment at shops across the country.
